Conventional Full Denture (Most Common): A conventional denture is made after all remaining teeth have been extracted and the gum tissue has fully healed — typically 8 to 12 weeks. Immediate Denture (Never Without Teeth): An immediate denture is fabricated in advance and inserted on the same day the teeth are extracted — so the patient is never without teeth during the healing period. The tissues heal under the denture. Because the mouth continues to change shape during healing, immediate dentures typically require relining or replacement once healing is complete, but they are an excellent solution for patients who cannot be without teeth for social or professional reasons.
Partial Denture (Some Natural Teeth Remain): A partial denture is the solution when some natural teeth remain.
